Memorial Weekend~~GOYA Expidition

When I attended One Light with Zack Arias he mentioned GOYA and I thought "that is exactly what I need to be doing." For those of you who aren't familiar with the term it stands for Get Off Your A**. Yep, get up off the couch and go shoot, just for the love of shooting. So this past holiday weekend I had some time to do whatever I wanted so I went on a GOYA expedition. Luckily for me, we had family visiting. My brother-in-law is an avid photographer so he joined me on my outing. We had so much fun...just being outside and finding the beauty in nature. We were also able to capture some fantastic sunset shots. The above is my favorite sunset shot to date. Leave a message and let me know what you think :) Cheers!!!

Two things you can be sure of in Michigan in May...Dandelions and Mosquitos.....

Recipe for sunset image: Canon 50mm lens, ISO 200, shutter speed 50, apeture 6.3. Minor adjustments in Lightroom.

Expecting Greyson

Meet Rachelle and Troy....they are the Bride & Groom from the very first wedding I ever photographed. I was so excited when they called and asked me to create some maternity photographs for them. They are such a beautiful couple and Greyson is going to be blessed with wonderful parents. Congratulations.......I can't wait to meet Greyson!

(Rachelle and Troy, here's a sneak peak of your images....hope you love them as much as I do.)

5/3 River Bank Run!

I completed my first 5K race today. There were over 15,000 people at the race. I completed in 45:22. I was really happy with that time. Figure it wasn't awful for my first time out and I'll only get better :)

We had beautiful weather...sunny and right around 50 degrees with no wind.

Best shirt I seen at the race: "Pain is just weakness leaving the body." Amen to that!

If you enjoy running and are interested in participating in a race I can't say enough good things about the 5/3 River Bank Run. www.53riverbankrun.com. It was a very well organized event.

Post Crossing

Earlier I posted about the Post Crossing website. Here are the first two post cards we've received. I have to say it is a lot of fun getting postcards in the mail...sure beats bills and junk mail. Go check it out at www.postcrossing.com, it only cost 90 cents to send a post card or letter overseas.

Nordsee is on the North Sea Coast of Germany and the second one is from a trader in Belgrade, Serbia. How cool is that!
